A Wiki is a terrific tool for classroom use!

It can be used for classroom organization:

  • A wiki can be used to communicate with parents about frequently asked questions, newsletters and calendars, as well as provide an update to what is happening in the classroom.
  • Can easily follow up with students who have not completed required tasks.

It can be used for classroom content:

  • A wiki is a great place to post lesson summaries and materials.
  • Teachers can assign projects that students can access at home.
  • Reference pages can be created by both teachers and students for study guides.
  • Students can submit work from home. Anything they want to share can be uploaded to a wiki.
  • Work can be highlighted and so can student achievement or extracurricular accomplishments.
  • Students can collaborate on solving math problems, research or homework.
  • Discussions can be encouraged.

If we each have one thing and we exchange them then we each have one thing. If we each have one idea and we exchange them then we each have two ideas.
